Commissions Now Available! *OPEN*

Thu Feb 5, 2009, 8:30 PM
Okay... I've set up commission rates and prices as I see fit. I've tried not too make them too pricey (seeing that I'm not too great of an artist), but just enough so I can get something extra or just pay off my supplies. My 'rents are suffering due to the stupid economy, so I can't depend on them forever to get more art supplies for school. Plus, seeing as I haven't found a job yet, I'd like to make some money from SOMEWHERE. And... I always like challenge.

Alright, here's how it goes - you choose an option from each list, and then add up the total (or, ask me if you're not too sure). Also, these prices are always negotiable. How this list works: say you want a full-body picture on 8 1/2" x 11" paper colored with markers with no background, it'd be like this -- $5.00+$5.00+$2.50+$10.00 = $22.50. That's not bad, actually. Prices may be negotiated, but it depends.

To promote sales, you'll get a free 8 1/2" x 11" print with every order. It can be any of the pictures in my gallery that were drawn this year. You could also get extra goodies, like sketches with personalized thank-you letters! Also, you may get a discount at the end~!

Sizes available (all in INCHES):
5 1/2" X 8 1/2" (pen sketch paper) - $2.50
8 1/2" X 11" (bee manga paper) - $5
11" X 14" (bee manga paper) - $7.50
11 X 17" (bristol) - $10
14" X 17" (bristol) - $12.50
18" X 24" (bristol) - $15.00
22" X 28" (poster board, it's REALLY BIG) - $20+ (additional charges may apply since it's on a bigger surface and more time-consuming)
*Bigger sizes ARE available, just ask - I use all types of paper, too.

Style:
*pen sketch - $2.50 (no examples yet)
*completed lineart - $5 (no examples yet)
*completed pen drawing (has shading) - $7.50 or $10 (they're more time-consuming than you think. Trust me.) [Example]: [link]
*No background colored pencil - $10(depends on how it looks... I kinda suck with pencils. ^^;) [Example]: [link]
*marker with simple or no background - $10 [Example]: [link]
*marker with complex background - $12.50 or $15 (depends on what the background is... nature or bedrooms will be $12.50; but buildings, lots people, or lots and lots of plant life will be $15) [Example]: [link]

Number of characters:
*One - $2.50
*Two - $5 or $10 (depends on what they're doing... romantic scenes are harder for me, so it'll probably cost you more.)
*More than two (add extra) - $1.50 for head, $3 for bust, $5 for waist, $7.50 for full-body.

Body:
*Portrait - $2.50
*Bust - $5
*Waist - $7.50
*Full Body (I need practice with this) - $10

Will draw:
*Humans/ OC (please provide drawing reference and personality description). I'll try old people, but there's no guarantee it'll turn out good.
*Fantasy
*Shonen/shojo ai
*Light sci-fi and cyberpunk
*High fashion (especially if it's Asian fashion. :3)
*Anything else not listed here, let me know. ^^
*Fanart

Won't draw:
*Mecha (it's very hard for me - prepared to be very dissappointed)
*Sex scenes (not that I have a problem with them, I'm just not that good with proportions and anatomy)
*Firearms (this is negotiable since I'm practicing.)

...Also... don't get mad at me if I decline to draw your commission. It's because I don't think I could do it to the best of my abilities.

Payment: Through mail or PayPal. If by mail, use international money orders or CASH, U.S. dollars preferred. If you live outside North America, PayPal is HIGHLY RECCOMENDED! I'll give you my address/PayPal e-mail once I show you the sketch. Once you approve of the sketch, send me the payment.

Shipment: I'm charging extra. Once I have your address, I'll calculate the price and add it to the total. I'll ship to anywhere in the world!

Also, once I start on your commission, please be patient. :thanks: I'll also show you the sketch before doing anything huge, and you can suggest changes then.

How to ask?: Comment in my journal, or send a note. If you have any other questions, you can ask too.

Ah yes, the economy stinks right now; I wish you the best of luck but I think you are a fabulous artist.
If you find yourself having difficulties with certain poses here is something I think may help you, it is an awesome reference: [link]

Isn't it terrible? My dad's on vacation, so his autoshop hasn't recieved much business (since all his customers are used to talking to him and the employees don't work as hard without him hounding on them like a drill seargant).

Thank you; I need the luck. I just don't know how to get any business or coverage (seeing as I don't have too many watchers and they don't really talk to me much -- do you have any suggestions? I don't really know how to make friends on DA; MySpace is more of a place to make friends. ^^;).

I saw the page you linked me to; I was amazed! It'll definetely be a big help! Thank you so much! :iconbowplz:

Also, I'm going to finish your kiriban real soon, what days can we meet up so I can give you the original? And have lunch? :excited: We really haven't talked much and I wanted to know you better last semester (but time got in the way)...

Well, what I've done to get people's attention is I drew what they were obsessing over....for example: Davy Jones. If you know your audience then they won't be able to get their eyes off you. Find out who your audience is, post some demo's to show what you can do then if they like what they see they will come to you. (also very colorful things get their attention, most of my stuff is in color so it catches the eye)

As for lunch, this month is a bad month, my family is moving to a different house this month and were going out of town in the next few weeks. But I do have classes Mon & Wed at the Redwood campus, do you have classes this semester?

Thanks for the advice. As much as I don't like drawing too much fanart, I do need more coverage; not because I like participating in popularity contests (I'm rather shy), but if I don't have any loyal viewers or friends, I won't get anywhere in the art world, and that's not good at all. :(

Okay, I understand; everybody around me is also busy nowadays (I need to get busy too ^^;). It's kinda a bad time to be buying a home, isn't it? :? And... I have class the same days you're on campus, lucky for you! I used to have classes everyday, but I was behind on Japanese and Music Theory so I had to drop those classes. All I take now is Figure Drawing. So, we can hang out whenever (I don't plan on going anywhere fancy or far as I can't drive - the most expensive place will probably be Village Inn and can be cheap as McDonald's). As long as it's after 3 PM.

I'll tell you about it when we meet. We should meet sometime this week to discuss plans and life; I'm on campus on Mondays and Wednesdays. We can meet upstairs, just let me know.

WEll you don't have to do fan art I'm just saying, find out what kinds of art people here like. But from observing the responses I get from the people whatching me, they fav, comment, and view my satire fan art more than my original and serious art.

Well, yes and no, realistate people are getting desparate to seel and no one is buying so it's driving the prices way down. I think our challenge will be selling our house.
My class times are 7:30 am-9:50 am & 5:30pm-6:50 pm. SO let's set a date and time or what not. Hogi Yogi has awesome terriaki bowls but I don't think there are any near the school.
